Hello!

Austin st in Forest Hills – Queens is definitely one of those streets, where you can find shops and foods at the same time, that must be visited when you are in Queens area. There, you could find; shops such as Banana Republic, GAP, Sephora, Bath & Body Works, Barnes & Nobles, etc; Restaurants such Aged, Bangkok Cuisine, Cabana, TGIF, etc; and of course dessert places such as Haagen Dazs and others.

As usual, I could not stand not to try all the sweets that is “noticeable” lol. So, I went to these two sweet shops, Vanilla Sky and Martha’s Country Bakery (will be posted right after this one). Both are great but I will talk about Vanilla Sky first and obviously, what I tried from this shop is their frozen yogurt (with all-you-want toppings yeayyy)!

I love frozen yogurt! It tastes lighter than creamy ice cream (not that i don’t like creamy ice cream because i definitely do) and I believe it has lesser contribution to your muffin top 😀 Anyways, other than loving the taste, I love the part where I could add toppings as much as I’d like to (i always go for the ‘heavy’ stuff such as mini brownies or chocolate chips or oreo – sad I know – but I always put some fruits as well just to make me feel less guilty 😀 ) and sprinkles is definitely a must for me because sprinkles is a deal breaker. No sprinkles no fro-yo lol. I don’t know why I just love sprinkles.

Okay, lets move on, the place, Vanilla sky, located in 70-35 Austin st, Forest Hills, is indeed a place for a sweet lazy sunday (I mean it in a good way). That is, the place is comfy and casual and other than fro-yo, they also serves other treats such as coffee, shakes, soda, and I believe they serve cupcake and pies as well (perhaps I should try it later). And oh I almost forgot, like any other fro-yo shops, the price of the fro-yo is vary depending on the weight of your fro-yo creation. All in all, it’s a perfect place for a very hot summer like this. Just put on your shorts, t-shirts, sandals, and you are ready to lick something refreshingly sweet.
