Dominique Ansel Kitchen NYC

Hello!

I have been really curious about Dominique Ansel Kitchen, located at 137 7th Ave S, New York, as I found lots of their ice cream photos on Instagram, and so I went there a week ago to give it a try.

Dominique Ansel Kitchen is a sister company of Dominique Ansel’s Dominique Ansel Bakery. I’ve tried the bakery and I’m in love with their Madeleine (and the cookie shot) but until today, I haven’t got a chance to try their famous cronuts (I am not a morning person, let alone to get in line since 7 AM – but please tell me if it’s worth it then maybe i’ll try to get up early for cronuts 😀 ).

Okay moving on, I found the place as attractive and the design is really nice as well but to my surprise though, the place looks spacious from the outside but actually quite “narrow” on the inside I should say. When you walk in, you’ll find a display of sweet goodness on the left, photos of the food hang above cake display, in the middle there was a little table display for books and cereal I believe (didn’t really pay attention), and the cashier on the front where you place order (soft serve ice cream can be ordered from the outside window – cute ice cream corner) while on the right side, mini theater kind of seating is available for having your meal inside (shame I didnt get the photo of this one but when you go there you’ll know what i mean – LOL). Overall, it’s a great place to chat and laugh with your girlfriends while enjoying delicious treats.

In regards to the food, I tried the Burrata Soft Serve Ice Cream that comes in a homemade honey tuile cone and topped with balsamic caramel and micro basil ($7) and it was YUMMY. Loved it and everything about it. Definitely a must have! And then I also tried their Edamame Avocado Toast (served with fresh ricotta, mint, and poppy seed brioche) and Brown Sugar DKA (Dominique’s Kouign Amann). Both were delicious and perfect for Sunday afternoon.

Okay no more talking, here are the photos:
