Potluck Club NYC

Hello Hello!!

Have you guys been to Potluck Club (33 Chrystie St)? Posts on their food are everywhere on IG. I got curious of course haha (honestly it’s so easy making me want to try all these yummy stuff – the targeted ads on my IG is all about food and sweets lol). Anyways, reservations usually a little tight, not too crazy though – you can still get a seat if you book a week before. They also welcome walk-ins but still, I suggest to make a reservation in advance since they only serve brunch on weekends so it could get crowded.

So far, I have been there a couple of times for brunch and every time, we got home with happy tummy. I have to admit, I love Hong Kong breakfast! I used to fly with CX (Cathay) just because I love the breakfast at the airport (especially the Condensed Milk bun by Tsui Wah – I’ll tell you later about in separate post haha).

Okay back to Potluck, my kids also loveee the food so I think it’s a pretty safe choice for families. Our all time favorites that we order every time we eat there are Hong Kong French Toast (salted egg yolk lava, condensed milk, cultured butter) and Potluck Chow Mein (hanger steak, garlic chives, pickled onions).

Other than these two, I’m pretty sure we have tried almost everything on the menu, and they are all delicious! And the drinks, Hong Kong Milk tea for the win always. So good. Okay here are some more pics:

The taste of the food, even though I believe they have adjusted it a bit with local taste (just as they write on their IG @potluckclubny , “new-ish take on old classics”, I think this is very true), still so very good and delicious, and yummy, and yes I would always go back there for brunch.

And oh, I need to mention that service is always great; they always let me sit even though my husband was still searching for parking spot somewhere haha. I really appreciate this particular kind of customer service because I have kids and they could get annoying while they wait. Thank you Potluck 🙂

Also, the design of the restaurant is very cute. If you guys are the 90’s kids you would recognize the two kids on their wall because it’s the cutest BOBOHO and his pal XIAO LONG. Love them! Oh and when you go past the vending machine, they have fortune cookies you could grab before you head out.

Overall, Potluck is definitely worth the hype! You just need to try it yourself.

Happy Wednesday and stay warm guys 🙂
